A fast-moving wind-fueled two-alarm fire tore through a Maryland home and triggered a massive response after part of the structure collapsed, officials said. Prince George’s County Fire/EMS crews were called around 3:21 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16, to the 9600 block of Stuart Lane in Clinton, where they found a single-family home with flames tearing through the roof, according to the agency. Due to the weather conditions and a partial collapse of the roof, firefighters called for a second alarm as the blaze ripped through the home, officials said. Home Explosion That Killed Virginia Firefighter Leads To Conviction Of Propane Worker
A former employee of Southern States Cooperative, Inc., Roger Bentley, has been convicted at trial in connection with the 2024 Sterling home explosion that claimed the life of Firefighter Trevor Brown. The Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office announced that after a seven-day trial, a jury found Roger Lee Bentley guilty on all counts for the fatal blast, which also injured 13 others. The number of missing people following the historic flash flooding that swept through central Texas early on the morning of July 4 has now climbed to 161. The death toll has reached 109 statewide, Gov. Greg Abbott announced late Tuesday afternoon, July 8 at a press conference. A total of 94 of the deaths were in Kerr County in the state's Hill Country. Two homes in Spotsylvania County went up in flames just minutes apart late Wednesday, Feb. 26, keeping firefighters racing across the county, officials said.
