Dump Truck Crash Temporarily Shuts Down Route 50 In Fairfax County: Police Route 50 was shut down for approximately an hour in Fairfax County on Monday morning when a dump truck driver crashed and took down some power lines.  At around 6 a.m. on Oct. 7, officers were called to assist at the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the usually-busy roadway near Fair Ridge Drive in Fair Lakes.  The crash resulted in Route 50 being closed in both directions on Monday morning while crews made repairs, resulting in major delays and temporary traffic backups until the scene could be cleared. Overturned Truck, Debris Spill Backs Up Traffic For Four Miles On I-95 (Developing) Traffic was temporarily slowed on I-95 in Virginia on Monday ahead of the afternoon commute when a dump truck overturned and dropped debris into the roadway. Shortly after 4 p.m. on June 17, crews were called to a stretch of the northbound lanes of the interstate in Prince William County, where there was a reported crash with a truck on its side.  The northbound left shoulder, left lane, center lane, and right lane were temporarily closed, according to Virginia DOT, with traffic backed up approximately our miles as of 4:10 p.m. on Monday.
