Alert Issued For Possible Measles Exposure At Virginia Grocery Store, DC Locations The Arlington County Public Health Division has issued an alert after being notified of a confirmed case of measles in a person who visited a grocery store earlier this month.  An out-of-state resident reportedly visited Harris Teeter on North Glebe Road between noon and 4 p.m. on Monday, July 1, and the health department is cautioning that some shoppers may have been exposed. The same person may have also reportedly visited CVS and a LabCorp site in the 2200 block of Wisconsin Avenue NW the following day, investigators are warning. Drunken Man Looking For Fights On Bus, Aggressive Thief Arrested In Fairfax, Cops Say Fairfax City police have announced the arrests of two people. Luis Hernandez, 26, and Youthana Inthirath, 54, were both arrested on June 10, police said. Hernandez allegedly swiped multiple items from CVS when he was confronted by an employee at the Fairfax Boulevard store, police said. Hernandez punched the employee multiple times, caused extensive damage to the store, and fled with stolen items, according to police. He was quickly found by officers and charged with felony destruction of property, assault and battery, and petit larceny. Inthirath was on a CUE bus and yelling that he want…

Fairfax County Man Wins $600K Playing VA Lottery's Pick 5 Daniel Choi says he got lucky. The Fairfax County resident had 50 plays in the May 1 Pick 5 nighttime drawing, each using the Fireball. The winning numbers in that drawing were 1-4-6-6-1, and the Fireball number was 5.  While Choi didn’t match the five digits, he matched using the Fireball, which replaced one of the digits, to win $12,000 for each of those 50 plays. Choi won $600,000. Choi bought his tickets at the CVS at 7500 Centreville Road in Manassas. He said he has no immediate plans for his winnings, except to pay his student loans.
