Deadly Dispute In Maryland Apartment Leaves One Dead, One Hurt, Police Say
A deadly shooting inside a Prince George’s County apartment has left one man dead, another fighting for his life, and a suspect behind bars, police said.
James Stewart, 35, of Upper Marlboro, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Tuesday's double shooting that killed Myandre McBride, 32, of Suitland, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.
Just after 12:30 p.m. on June 3, officers responded to the 5600 block of Regency Park Court in Suitland for reports of gunfire. They found McBride and a second man shot inside an apartment.

A 64-year-old Virginia man is facing charges after police say he exposed himself to a young girl walking down a neighborhood street.
Ronnie Earl Spencer, of Dumfries, was arrested Wednesday, June 4, following an incident that occurred around 8:30 a.m. two days earlier, Prince William County Police said.
Investigators said a 12-year-old girl was walking near the 17900 block of Milroy Drive on Monday, June 2, when she saw Spencer exposing himself.
The girl quickly left the area and alerted a family member, who contacted police. No physical contact occurred, authorities noted.

A Romanian man who led a global swatting ring that targeted members of Congress, churches, and even a former US president has pleaded guilty, federal officials announced.
Thomasz Szabo, 26, known online as “Plank,” “Jonah,” and “Cypher,” entered his guilty plea in federal court this week, according to the US Department of Justice.
Szabo was extradited from Romania in November 2024 and admitted to running a years-long online conspiracy that involved making fake bomb and mass-shooting threats across the United States, investigators said.

A 21-year-old Virginia man is facing 100 counts of child pornography possession after an arrest by police in Blacksburg, authorities announced.
Nirish Chilakala was taken into custody on Tuesday, May 27, after officers with the Blacksburg Police Department served a search warrant at a home in the 600 block of Broce Drive, police said.
Chilakala was charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography following what officials described as an ongoing investigation.
