A seven-month investigation into drug trafficking in Maryland ended with two men behind bars — and the seizure of luxury BMWs, cash, and drugs worth more than $100,000, authorities said.
Earlier this month, members of the Annapolis Police Department’s Drug Enforcement Unit, Special Investigations Section, and Patrol Division conducted a coordinated operation in the area of Oaklawn Avenue and Carver Street, according to police.
Investigators arrested 35-year-old Timothy Charles Johnson, the primary target of the probe, on multiple CDS-related indictments.

Five men were busted and thousands in cash, crack, and guns were seized in Maryland after a months-long drug investigation, authorities said.
Detectives with the Montgomery County Police Department executed a trio of search warrants on Wednesday, June 25, targeting properties in connection to drug activity on Gunners Branch Road in Germantown, according to the department.
The takedown stemmed from community complaints that the department received beginning last fall.

An 18-year-old driver was arrested during a routine motor vehicle stop in which Fairfax County police found just under 100 fentanyl pills, wads of cash, and marijuana, police said.
An officer stopped Fredy Ralda Rojas, of Bailey's Crossroads, at 9 p.m. on Saturday June 1 at Glen Carlyn Drive and Glen Carlyn Road, county police tell Daily Voice.
The officer saw large amounts of cash and narcotics.
Turns out, Rojas had 87 fentanyl pills, more than 2.5 ounces of marijuana, and a large amount of cash, police said.
