Some top lawmakers in Baltimore are speaking out after a teen offender who has run afoul of the law repeatedly was released and reoffended — again.
On Tuesday, March 31, officers arrested a 14-year-old on an open warrant while he was in the 2200 block of Kirk Avenue.
His offense this time? Failure to appear in reference to a previous crime.

A deadly disease is sweeping through Maryland’s white-tailed deer population, with multiple counties seeing reports of dead or sick animals, state officials confirmed.

Customs officers in Baltimore stopped more than 100 pounds of a powerful psychedelic drug that was on its way to Harford County, officials announced.
On Monday, Aug. 25, US Customs and Border Protection officers seized 103 pounds and 10 ounces of Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), an LSD-like hallucinogen with a street value of about $80,000, according to CBP.

Dandre Woods-Bethel was sentenced on Monday, Aug. 25, to two life terms plus 28 years for the September 2020 double murder of Michelle Green and Julie Rice, according to Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan J. Bates.
