A mysterious death in a quiet Fauquier County neighborhood has turned into a full-blown homicide case — and now, the man accused of murder is behind bars.
Jose Velasquez-Martinez, 27, of Verona, was arrested at a hotel in Front Royal early Sunday morning, March 30, after a days-long investigation into a bizarre and deadly scene that unfolded just east of Linden, officials said.
Deputies say it started around 9:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, when a woman came home and found a man she didn’t know — bleeding and gravely injured — inside her house.
