A Maryland home doubling as an illegal doggie daycare has been busted — and more than 20 dogs are now in county custody. The Montgomery County Office of Animal Services (OAS) executed a search warrant on Tuesday, June 24, at a suspected unlicensed animal boarding facility on the 500 block of Sligo Avenue in Silver Spring, officials said Wednesday. A Leesburg family of nine is without a home after a devastating electrical fire ripped through their house on Valentine’s Day, destroying nearly everything inside. Firefighters rushed to the 800 block of Wage Drive just after 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, where they were met with flames and heavy smoke pouring from the first floor of the split-level home, according to Loudoun County fire officials.
