Man Offered Woman A Ride, Tried To Sexually Assault Her In Virginia, Police Say A Virginia man is behind bars after allegedly abducting a woman and attempting to sexually assault her when she got into his vehicle, police said. Jose Mauricio Sosas Ramos, 58, of Alexandria, was arrested following the attack, which happened around 3 a.m. on Sunday, March 9, in the 7700 block of Richmond Highway in Hybla Valley, according to Fairfax County police. Investigators say a woman was walking in the area when Sosas Ramos pulled up and offered her a ride. Single-Vehicle Crash Shuts Down Busy Virginia Highway (Developing) A busy highway in Virginia will be closed for hours after a driver crashed into and took down a utility pole in Fairfax County. An alert was issued by the Fairfax County Police Department on Tuesday afternoon following a crash on Richmond Highway involving a single vehicle.  Police say that the highway will be closed between Holly Hill Road and Lockheed Boulevard in Hybla Valley as officers investigate the crash and the scene is cleared. Motorcyclist Killed In Fairfax County Crash A motorcyclist was killed in a Fairfax County crash overnight, police said on Friday, May 17. The crash happened near Memorial Strett and South Kings Highway in Hybla Valley sometime before 3:30 a.m.  An adult male motorcyclist was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene, police said.
