Mother Admits To Voluntary Manslaughter After Toddler Dies From Fentanyl Poisoning In DC: Feds
A District woman is facing up to 10 years in prison after her 3-year-old daughter ingested fentanyl and died, federal authorities announced. Sasha McCoy, 28, pleaded guilty this week to voluntary manslaughter in connection to the death of her toddler in October 2022. Prosecutors said that at around 1 p.m. on Oct. 28, 2022, McCoy took her two children to the back bedroom of the home she was staying out for a nap and placed them in bed.
