The driver of a tractor-trailer died after losing control and veering off I-95 in Prince William County and crashing, state police say. Troopers were called to a stretch of the northbound lanes of the interstate shortly before 4:30 a.m. on Thursday morning to investigate a reported crash near the 155-mile marker. A tractor-trailer that went off the road and crashed in Stafford County near the Fauquier County line led to lane closures in advance of the afternoon commute on Wednesday. An overturned tractor-trailer tied up traffic in parts of Fairfax County on Tuesday afternoon when debris was spilled into the roadway. An alert was issued by police at around 12:30 p.m. on July 30 advising that the southbound lanes of Nutley Street between Route 29 and Saintsbury Street in Fairlee were closed as crews cleared up the scene of a single-vehicle crash involving the truck.
