Man Hit Twice, Killed Crossing Virginia Highway—One Driver Fled, Police Say A 53-year-old man was struck and killed by two separate vehicles in a fatal hit-and-run crash in Northern Virginia, police announced. Miles Jonathan Moore, of Woodbridge, died on Thursday night, March 20, after being hit while trying to cross Richmond Highway near Easy Street, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Officers were called to the scene shortly after 9 p.m. for reports of an unconscious man in the roadway. Driver Rescued From Pond In Fairfax County By Virginia State Police Troopers Virginia State Police troopers had to make a bold rescue on Sunday night when a 40-year-old woman splash landed in a Fairfax County pond, officials say. Two troopers were called shortly before 9:45 p.m. on Oct. 20, to a stretch of eastbound lanes on I-66, when a woman went off the road and into a retention pond near exit 60 (Route 123).  The vehicle became submerged, according to police, and the driver was trapped, leading to a brave rescue by the troopers, who were able to get her out of the vehicle through its sunroof.
