Local resident Carl Harris has been identified by investigators as the person who was shot and killed during an incident over the weekend.
Shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, officers from the Alexandria Police Department were called to the 800 block of Manor Road, where there was a report of shots fired with one person down.
While investigating, Harris was dropped off at an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
His body was then taken to the Office of the Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.
The shooting remains under investigation as of Monday morning.
