Driver Charged With DWI After Smashing Through Fence, Into Virginia Home, Police Say
A 57-year-old man was allegedly intoxicated in Loudoun County when he hopped a curb and crashed into a Leesburg home, police say. Erik Henderson is facing charges following the investigation into an overnight crash when his vehicle smashed into the front of a house in the 800 block of Rush Drive NE. Upon arrival at the home, a spokesperson from the Leesburg Police Department said that officers were met by a 2020 Subaru that crashed into the front of the residence, causing structural damage. Nearly two dozen homes were evacuated in Fairfax County on Friday afternoon due to a HazMat situation in Herndon, police confirmed. The successful execution of a search warrant in the 200 block of Herndon Station Square led to the arrest of a 44-year-old Steven Timothy Kyle, though it resulted to more questions than answers when officers found chemicals and other substances that "caused some alarm," a police spokesperson said. Cops Release Repeat Flasher Accused Of Trying To Touch Shoppers In Fairfax County
A 22-year old man arrested for exposing himself and trying to inappropriately touch shoppers in at a Fairfax County store was linked to a similar incident back in May. Officers called to the 1500 block of Cornerside Boulevard in Tysons on Sept. 3 arrested Jamal Miller, of McLean, who they identified as the suspect. Miller was then linked to a May 25 exposure case at the TJ Maxx store on the 8300 block of Leesburg Pike, police said. A retail theft crew who took the trek from New York to Virginia to steal more than $20,000 in merchandise has been apprehended in Fairfax County, authorities announced.
