Woodbridge native Shaboozey, an emerging rapper and singer-songwriter, is up for Best New Artist, one of the Grammys' most prestigious categories, while his breakout single, A Bar Song (Tipsy), which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 has earned him further acclaim with nominations for Song of the Year and Country Song of the Year.
Shaboozey was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance and for Best Melodic Rap Performance for Spaghetti with Beyoncé and Linda Martell.
These nominations highlight Virginia’s rich musical heritage and influence, blending styles and influences that resonate far beyond state lines.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards, set for Feb. 2, 2025, will celebrate the achievements of the Virginia-based artist and others' contributions to today’s music landscape.
