A death investigation is underway after a man was found with severe burns inside a Buddhist temple in Woodbridge on the day after Christmas, authorities said. Prince William County police responded around 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 26 to the Watt Buddhacheya Mongkol Buddhist Temple in the 3900 block of Old Bridge Road to investigate, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Members of the temple discovered the body of a 48-year-old man in a bedroom on the premises, police said. The man, a known temple member who stayed there, was pronounced dead at the scene. Residents Escape Burning Home Through Second-Story Window In VA; Five Treated For Burns
Some residents had to make a bold escape from a fiery home and five people were treated for burns following an early morning fire in Manassas. Crews from the City of Manassas Fire and Rescue Department were called to a house fire at around 5:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, where they were met by fire showing from the first and second floors of the building with multiple burn victims that had to escape from a second-story window.
