Estranged Son Shot Father, Self In Spotsylvania, Sheriff Says (Developing) The estranged son of a Spotsylvania man is in critical condition after allegedly shooting his father and then himself on Wednesday night, officials say. Deputies were called shortly before 10 p.m. on Sept. 11 to the 3700 block of Glen Dower Drive, where they were met by a man in the driveway suffering from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
