A two-alarm fire caused nearly $1 million in damage, injured two Montgomery County firefighters, and displaced at least six families in Gaithersburg on Tuesday, July 1, officials said.
Fire crews responded around 10 a.m. to a three-story apartment building at 746 Quince Orchard Boulevard, near Rabbit Road in the Potomac Oaks community, according to MCFRS spokesperson Pete Piringer.

The unattended candle triggered a destructive blaze that caused nearly $1 million in damages and displaced a family in Loudoun County, officials announced.
