Oak Hill native Robert Buchanan, 64, was arrested following an investigation into a reported abduction of a 30-year-old woman who was taken on Thursday, June 27. A 70-year-old woman is facing charges after police said she pepper-sprayed a person during a dispute in an Arlington elevator. Ruth Kile had apparently been arguing with someone in an elevator of a building on the 3000 block of Spout Run Parkway just before 2 p.m. on Friday, May 24, police said. Man Rapes Girl Under 15 In Northern Virginia, Police Say
A 36-year-old man is accused of raping a girl under 15 years old in northern Virginia, police said. Dennis William Caballero Mejia, of Woodbridge, was at a house on Gloucester Court with the victim on May 21 when he prevented the girl from leaving a room and sexually assaulted her, Prince William County police said. The girl was able to separate herself from Mejia and contact police. Mejia was charged with rape and abduction and held without bond, police said.
