Student Brought Gun To High School In Virginia: Police Quick thinking by a Fairfax County student and rapid response from officers helped avert a potential incident at Edison High School, authorities said. Shortly after school started on Thursday, Feb. 20, a student notified the school resource officer (SRO) about a classmate who might have a firearm on campus, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Investigation Underway After Sexual Assault Reported At Osbourn Park High School: Police Authorities are investigating an alleged sexual assault reported to have occurred earlier this school year at Osbourn Park High School in Manassas, officials announced. Last week, a School Resource Officer assigned to the building, on Euclid Avenue, began an investigation after a student reported being assaulted in a bathroom near the gym on the first floor.
