DUI Driver Rescued From Overturned Car Insisted There Was No Accident: Stafford Sheriff
A driver was rescued from her vehicle after a crash, but she insisted no crash had happened at all, authorities in Stafford said. The unnamed driver was pulled out of her vehicle by a 9-1-1 caller on Morton Road on March 8 around 4:50 p.m., according to the county sheriff's office. The vehicle had veered off the road, struck an embankment, and turned on its side. Police in Stafford have obtained warrants for a man who exposed himself in an apartment window earlier this week. The man, who authorities declined to name, was seen exposing his genitals in the window of an apartment on Setter Circle around 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, the county sheriff's office said. Deputy Hall made contact with the suspect in that apartment who, not shockingly, was barely dressed. A 34-year-old Virginia man is facing charges in Pennsylvania for chatting with juveniles online and soliciting explicit images from them, authorities said. The tips regarding Jesse Abercrombie, of Stafford, came in to the Stafford County Sheriff's Computer Crime Unit in October 2023, Sheriff David Decatur said. A 37-year-old Stafford woman was more than twice the legal limit when she struck a Tesla with a child in her car, then fled the scene, authorities said. Karen Huff Herrera allegedly hit the parked Tesla on Lansberry Park Drive around 8:45 p.m. Sunday. Feb. 25, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release. An 18-year-old DUI driver was found asleep at the wheel in nothing but socks and Spandex when police found him in Stafford, they said. Two drivers have been arrested after leading police pursuits through Stafford over the weekend, police said. The first began around 1:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, and involved a Maryland man named Timothy Clark, 56, was wanted out of Stafford, Prince William, and Fredericksburg, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release. A Virginia man who pleaded guilty in connection to traveling to Pennsylvania to have sex with a child has been sentenced, the Lancaster County District Attorney's office announced on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Tanner Iskra, 38 of the 2100 block of Harpoon Drive, Stafford, VA, pleaded guilty in Sept. 2023 to attempted statutory sexual assault (11 years older), attempted corruption of minors, and criminal use of a communication facility, DA Heather Adams detailed in the release. A 60-year-old Stafford man who's been convicted of drunk driving five times can add a sixth to his rap sheet, according to police.
