A 56-year-old Stafford was jailed for a shooting involving an innocent victim: His neighbor. The female victim, a resident of a home in North Stafford, said she was not sure what happened, but that she was bleeding profusely from her stomach around 12 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, the county sheriff's office said. Arriving officers noticed a bullet-sized hole in the wall that directly lined up to where the victim was standing in her kitchen when she was struck. Police have announced the arrest of a bank robber wanted in incidents in both Stafford and Prince William County. Bobby Winstead III, 34, of Lorton, has been charged with robbery, attempted robbery, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and using a mask with the intent to conceal his identity in connection with the series of incidents dating back to early February, authorities announced. A 30-year-old Virginia fugitive was captured by a group of Good Samaritans while running from police on Monday, April 22, authorities said. Jordan Perrin was spotted asleep at the wheel by Stafford County Deputy C.C. Crossett on Courage Lane around 8:20 p.m., the sheriff's office said in a release.
