An intoxicated 28-year-old Stafford woman called police on herself to say she struck her romantic partner and, when police arrived, said she wanted to go to jail, authorities said.
Catherine Williams called 9-1-1 around 9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, saying she'd hit her romantic partner a number of times while at the Spring Lake Motel on Richmond Highway, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a release.

Purceville Pair Charged In Leesburg Burglaries: Police
A Purceville pair has been charged in two Leesburg burglaries, authorities said.
Samuel Jenkins III, 46, and Abigail Laura, 38, were identified as the pair who went into a business on North King Street around 3 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, and stealing property, Leesburg police said.
Then, on Friday, Jan. 26, the two went into a business on North Street NW around midnight, and stole more property, police said.
Laura was identified as the suspect and was subsequently charged for her involvement, police said.

Pedestrians Bang On Car, Assault Driver Through Window In Arlington: Cops
Two pedestrians have been arrested for assaulting a driver in Arlington this week, authorities said.
Leonardo Guardado Navarro, 29, and Adonis Johnson, 20, were on foot when they became involved in an argument with a driver on the 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard around 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, county police said.
Navarro and Johnson began banging on the victim’s vehicle, causing property damage, and assaulted him through the open driver’s side window, police said.
The victim and one suspect suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention.

Drunken Fredericksburg Man Terrorizes Stafford Deputies, Wawa, Hotel Staff: Sheriff
A man cursing and screaming at hotel and Wawa employees is behind bars, police in Stafford County said.
A man later identified as Michael Fauntleroy, 55, of Fredericksburg, brought police to the Excel Inn & Suites on Warrenton Road around 1:50 a.m. Jan. 18, for cursing and screaming at an employee, the county sheriff's office said.
Fauntleroy was removed from the property, and authorities hoped that was the end of that. It wasn't.

Keen-Eyed Stafford Officers Spot Bicyclist's Mistake That Ultimately Led To His Arrest
A 28-year-old Fredericksburg bicyclist who tried outrunning police was wanted out of Spotsylvania, authorities in Stafford said.
Alexander Atkinson has been charged with four counts of obstruction of justice, possession of controlled substances, possession of paraphernalia, public intoxication, as well as, riding a bicycle without headlights or reflectors, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said.
Atkinson caught the attention of a deputy around 9:40 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, while on Truslow Road because he had no lights or reflectors, Decatur said.
