Detectives say they nailed down a suspect accused of breaking into a work van and stealing power tools in Virginia. Officers were called to the 4500 block of Roundhill Road in Rose Hill late last month after a suspect forced entry into a van and stole multiple power tools, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. A witness saw the suspect pulling tools from the van and snapped photos of both the man and the vehicle before police arrived, officers said. A popular hedge trimmer is being recalled after blades began turning on without warning, cutting more than a dozen people. Ryobi issued the recall for more than 113,000 24-inch cordless hedge trimmers sold in the US, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, June 12. A national recall of nearly 1.5 million DeWALT power saws has been announced due to potential injury and laceration hazard concerns. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced that the company issued a recall of 1,364,000 DeWALT 12-inch sliding compound miter saws due to a rear safety guard that can break or detach, posing an injury hazard due to projectiles that can strike the user and bystanders.
