A Virginia couple was slapped with a slew of charges after leading police on a high-speed chase on I-95.
Anthony Raposo, 39, of Fredericksburg, was behind the wheel of a car stopped at the Wawa on Garrisonville Road in Stafford when officers realized the vehicle had a fake temporary license plate around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, they said.
Officers tried to speak with him, but he sped onto southbound I-95, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour at one point.

Three teens were taken into custody after an armed carjacking in Maryland that saw them take police on a pursuit before crashing earlier this week, officials said.
Zyier Brown, 18, Jayla Newman, 18, both of Washington DC, and a 16-year-old from Upper Marlboro are all facing charges for their roles in a carjacking in Gaithersburg, the Montgomery County Department of Police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
The incident began shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14 in the 7800 block of Guildberry Court, when the department received a report of a carjacking.

Stafford Driver Disregards Nearby Officers As She Weaves Through Lanes: Police
An uncooperative Stafford woman was arrested for reckless driving, police said.
Just after 8 a.m. on August 16, an officer saw Georgiette Kwachie, 49, weaving in and out of lanes on I-95, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Kwachie did not comply with the officer who attempted to pull her over and initiated a chase, as she drove up to 80 mph, police said.
She eventually moved onto the right shoulder on I-95, where another motorist and a police car blocked her in, in order to keep her from escaping, authorities reported.
