Two women were found dead in what police are calling a double homicide in Manassas Tuesday, April 2, police said. A person of interest was detained in Shenandoah County following the double shooting at 5:12 a.m. on Porters Ridge Lane at the the Westgate Apartments, Prince William County police said. Two Homeless Men Assault Police Officers In Prince William County Hours Apart, Cops Say
Two men in Prince William County were arrested hours apart for assaulting law enforcement officers, the department said. The first incident happened at 3:10 p.m. when officers were called to assist fire and rescue on Sudley Road in Manassas with a medical call. When officers arrived, Mark Edwards Davidson, 64, was in his car and drove off, striking a fire truck and utility pole at a nearby intersection, police said. Police in Virginia are seeking the public's help with the investigation of a hit-and-run crash that killed a tractor trailer driver in the roadway of I-81. James W. Carr, Jr., 64, of Alton, NH, was struck by a northbound vehicle sometime between 5 a.m. and 8:12 a.m. on Saturday, March 23 on the highway stretch in Shenandoah County, Virginia State Police said.
