Motorcyclist, 28, Killed In Head-On, High Speed Virginia Crash
A 28-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Rappahannock County motorcycle crash Friday, Jan. 26, Virginia State Police said. Kono Yang, of Burke, was heading west on Lee Highway at a high rate of speed on a 2018 Kawasaki motorcycle when he lost control maneuvering a curve around 2:45 p.m., VSP Sgt. Brent Coffey said. Yang crossed the double solid yellow centerline and struck an eastbound Mazda CX-9 head-on about a mile west of Estes Mill Road, Coffey said. Yang died at the scene of the crash due to his injuries. A man posing as a food delivery driver led authorities on an eight-mile pursuit on a flat tire across a northern Virginia town, authorities said. Aion Navor Wilson, 39, of Baltimore, was drunk when he approached the front door of a home in the 8100 block of Arrowleaf Turn in Gainesville and claimed to be a food delivery driver, Prince William County police said. Wild Police Pursuit Leaves Driver Dead In Fairfax County
A 39-year-old man was ejected from his car and killed after leading cross-county police pursuit in northern Virginia over the weekend. Ashton Robinson, of Culpeper, fled the scene of a DWI checkpoint in New Baltimore, in a 2011 Dodge Journey around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, April 22, the Fairfax County Police Department said. The Fairfax City Council voted to rename 14 local street names that have ties to Confederacy, officials said. The Council voted on these street names after a heated debate last month, WTOP reported. Reckless VA Driver Who Led Off-Road Pursuit Across County Lines Had Guns, Drugs: Authorities
A 24-year-old Virginia man had firearms and drugs on him during a chase from Frauquier into Prince William County earlier this week, authorities said. Shaquan Hennsey was spotting driving recklessly and veering off the roadway in a silver BMW on Lee Highway on April 26, the Frauquier Sheriff's Department said in a release.
