Accidental Shooting Wounds Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy At Training Center A Loudoun County Sheriff's Deputy was rushed into emergency surgery in an accidental shooting Thursday morning, June 13, officials tell Daily Voice. The incident happened at the sheriff's firing rang on Leesburg Road around 8:20 a.m., a spokesperson for the county sheriff's office said. "While we cannot provide more specific details at this time, we can confirm that the incident involved another deputy and occurred during a routine training exercise," the spokesman said.  One deputy was taken to a local hospital and is stable and out of surgery, the spokesman said.

Vincent Alexander York, 23, was in police custody at the Northern Virginia Mental Health facility when he aggressively approached an officer after refusing to follow the officer's commands around 1 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 31, according to Prince William County police.
