Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued For Parts Of Maryland, Virginia
Some neighborhoods in Maryland and Virginia are subject to a Severe Thunderstorm Watch as intense weather begin making its way through the DMV region. The National Weather Service issued an alert on Sunday afternoon cautioning that from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., there is a chance for inclement weather that could bring heavy rains and whipping wind gusts. Wet Weekend Expected In DMV As Rainstorms Head Toward Region
Some serious weather is headed toward the DMV region this weekend, according to forecasters, with several inches of rain possible in parts of DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Things will start out pleasant, with seasonably warm weather on Friday and Saturday before a storm is expected to bring heavy rain and gusty winds on Sunday leading into Monday's commute. Thunderstorms, Possible Snow Heading Toward DMV
Meteorologists are cautioning that some wicked weather may be barreling towards Maryland and Virginia. While temperatures were on the rise over the weekend, the fun may be over as forecasters are calling for thunderstorms, and possibly even some snow to parts of the region.
