Fugitive Wanted For Rape Kills Pedestrian While Evading Arrest In Maryland: Police
A fugitive wanted for rape struck and killed a pedestrian in Prince George’s County while fleeing police, authorities said.
Warren Leonard, 23, of Washington, DC, was wanted for second-degree rape when a Hyattsville City Police officer attempted a traffic stop around 10:15 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28.
Leonard briefly stopped in the 3300 block of East-West Highway before taking off westbound, investigators said.

One Injured, Two Apprehended After Shooting At Union Station, Capitol Police Say
United States Capitol Police apprehended a pair of suspects involved in an alleged shooting at Union Station, authorities announced.
Shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, a Capitol Police sergeant heard the shots at Union Station, while DC’s Metropolitan Police issued an alert for shots fired at the same location.
Officers were quick to respond to the scene, searched the area, and apprehended two suspected shooters involved in the incident near North Capitol Street and H Street, where they confiscated a handgun, officials said.
