An Arlington man is in police custody after he avoided officers and fired shots in their direction, officials said. In the evening of Oct. 6, officers attempted to pull over Ricardo Singleton, 27, who was wanted after a hit-and-run incident earlier in the day, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Sometime before noon, officers arrived at the scene in the 3500 block of South Jefferson Street, where they found between two to three cars with damage caused by gunfire, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
