Fairfax Rescue Crew Saves Adorable Kitten From Local Storm Drain
Firefighters from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue team saved an adorable white kitten from a local storm drain on Tuesday, August 16, officials said. Crew members located the trapped kitten from a storm drain and sprung into action to save it, according to Fairfax County Fire and Rescue. The kitten was taken to the Fairfax County Animal Shelter for eventual adoption, authorities said.

More than a dozen people were hurt including two critically when a rideshare driver crashed into an Arlington restaurant Friday, Aug. 12, authorities said. The vehicle slammed into Ireland’s Four Courts on Wilson Boulevard around 6:45 p.m., police said. The restaurant was immediately evacuated with nine patients hospitalized and six treated for non-life-threatening injuries, county officials said. Fairfax House Fire Will Cost Family More Than Half A Million Dollars: Fire Officials
A house fire that broke out in Fairfax over the weekend will cost the victims more than $594,000 in repairs, officials said.The blaze at the 8500 block of Grigsby Drive in West Springfield was reported around 4:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 10. Flames were showing on the first floor and roof, with no occupants inside Fairfax County Fire and Rescue reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation and no injuries were reported, authorities said.

One Man Hospitalized After Train Hits Truck In Fairfax County
Firefighters in Fairfax County said a train hit an 18-wheeler truck on Thursday afternoon, June 2. Wreck Forces Police To Close Portion Of Interstate 66 In Fairfax County
Authorities in Fairfax County have closed a portion of Interstate 66 on Wednesday morning, June 1, as they clean up a wreck.
