Missing VA Woman Found Alive In Wooded Area After 8-Day Search
The manhunt for a missing 69-year-old woman had a happy ending this week after rescuers found her in the woods less than a mile from her home. Aletha Gee Watson spent eight days in those woods and survived sweltering heat and extreme thunderstorms. Authorities are investigating whether police properly handled a situation after a Virginia man died from his injuries sustained during an arrest last month. Virginia State Police are investigating the death of 77-year-old Ralph Ennis, of Gainesville, and the response of deputies from the Warren County Sheriff's Office, WTOP reports.
