A worker had to be rescued in Northwest DC on Monday morning when a row home partially collapsed and left them trapped, officials say. Shortly before 10:15 a.m. on Dec. 23, a DC Fire and EMS spokesperson issued an alert advising of a collapse of a two-story row house with entrapment in the 1100 block of V Street NW. As of noon on Monday afternoon, the worker was still trapped inside, according to the agency. Several families in Southeast DC got a scare on Tuesday afternoon when a tree toppled onto three homes, leaving some displaced and first responders tasked with rescuing several animals. DC Firefighter Arrested In Armed Fairfax County Robbery: Report
Fairfax County Police arrested a D.C. firefighter after he robbed someone at gunpoint back in May, WTOP reports. Christopher Potts, 27, was charged with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony on July 8, the outlet said. Potts knew the victim and has been arrested once before.
