A pair of would-be thieves in Virginia learned the hard way that crime doesn’t always pay—especially when the take is just $2.26. On Saturday, Nov. 23, Stafford County deputies responded to Symphony of Suds on Smokehouse Drive around 8:18 p.m. after staff reported two suspects breaking into a self-service machine to steal money. A government contractor living in Maryland has been accused of espionage by federal officials in Washington, DC, authorities announced. Abraham Teklu Lemma, 50, a naturalized US citizen from Ethiopia who lives in Silver Spring is facing series charges for allegedly conspiring with a foreign government, according to a criminal complaint unsealed on Thursday. 'I'm Going To Punch You': Student Assaults Virginia HS Staff, Authorities Say
Criminal complaints have been filed against a northern Virginia high school student who threatened to punch staff members, authorities said. "I'm going to punch you if you don't get out of my way," the Colonia Forge student apparently told Deputy GM Lum around 8:40 a.m. Thursday morning, April 20, a spokesman for the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. The student had assaulted one of the staff members before making the threat, the spokesman said. Criminal complaints for assault and battery, as well as, threats against school staff will be filed.
