DUI Driver Found Calmly Smoking Next To Vehicle Crashed In Ditch: Stafford Sheriff
A 32-year-old Stafford man left a path of destruction in a drunk driving accident over the weekend, police said. Steven Bates tossed a backpack out of a vehicle after crashing it into a ditch on Clarion Drive and Ferry Road around 2:05 a.m. Saturday, March 16, the county sheriff said. When deputies arrived, they found the Ford still in the ditch with the driver calmly smoking next to it, police said. Police later learned that the vehicle had gone off Ferry Road, demolished a mailbox, and struck down a street sign before going airborne across Clarion Drive right into the ditch. …

A 42-year-old Stafford woman earned her third DUI in less than ten years after crashing her vehicle in a ditch and trying to leave the scene with a bottle of booze in her hands, police said. Vicki Neulinger showed multiple signs of being intoxicated after sending her vehicle into the ditch on Clarion Drive, around 2:50 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8, Stafford County Sheriff David Decatur said. Suspected Drunk Driver Plowed Into Stafford Mailboxes, Park Car: Police
Authorities say a 36-year-old woman was intoxicated when she crashed her car Friday night, June 3, in south Stafford and sent one person to the hospital. Deputies said Jennifer Williams of Woodford crashed her car into several mailboxes along Ferry Drive around 8:20 p.m., the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said. She then turned onto Clarion Drive, where she went off the road and into someone's yard before slamming into a parked car, authorities continued.
