A District man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into his ex's home and sexually assaulting her child, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. Southeast resident Omar Ransom, 22, was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing his underage victim after breaking into his former lover's home and "engaging in unwanted sexual acts" before fleeing, police say. A third person has been arrested for his alleged role in a home invasion in Fairfax County late last year during a violent robbery, police announced on Thursday. An 18-year-old Arlington woman was arrested for assaulting police after stealing a bicycle from a home, authorities said. Angelita Lopez broke into a home on the 1700 block of S. Walter Reed Drive around 7:15 p.m. on March 17, where she was confronted by one victim, county police said. Lopez stole a bicycle then fled the scene. Hours-Long Manhunt For Chainsaw-Wielding Man Ends In Stafford
An hours-long manhunt for a chainsaw-wielding burglary suspect ended successfully Monday, March 4 in Stafford County, authorities said. Shawn Kimmitz of the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said the man, who had tried breaking into a home on Musselman Road around 7 a.m., was captured at Rappahannock Landing in the mid-morning hours.
