Beloved Former Child Star Dies At Age 24 A former child actress has died at the age of 24. Sophie Nyweide appeared in a total of 12 movies and television series, starting in 2006. The Burlington, Vermont native, who “spent most of her brief life in Vermont and New York City,” died on Monday, April 14, according to her obituary. The cause of death has not been released.  A memorial service is planned for a date to be determined.
