Latae’veion Woods, of Woodbridge, allegedly sold fentanyl-laced pills to the teen who was found dead inside his home on the morning of April 26, Prince William County Police said.

Investigation revealed the teen ingested counterfeit Percocet pills that contained an "extremely dangerous" amount of fentanyl, police said.

The 14-year-old's death occurred less than 48 hours after another fatal overdose of a 15-year-old, police added. Authorities initially believed both had died from taking the same pills.

Investigators later determined Woods as the distributor. A search of his home uncovered a small amount of suspected fentanyl pressed counterfeit Percocet pills, marijuana, two firearms and items consistent with narcotics distribution, according to police.

He was arrested and charged accordingly. At this time investigators are unsure if Woods is connected to the death of the 15-year-old.
