On Tuesday, Feb. 14, investigators from the Prince William County Police Department announced that Ahmad Sultani, 30, is facing a host of charges weeks after he allegedly abused his victim.
Detectives from the Special Victim’s Bureau launched an investigation at the end of January into an alleged sexual assault that was reported in the 200 block of Mill Street in Occoquan on Monday, Jan. 30.
The investigation found that the woman met with Sultani, who she had recently met on a social media app, and arranged to see him in Prince William County. During that encounter, officials said that the woman began to feel unwell, and Sultani allegedly took her to a nearby vehicle, where he sexually assaulted her.
Police said that the woman was eventually able to separate herself from Sultani and reported the incident to the authorities the following day.
Sultani was arrested over the weekend and charged with:
- Rape;
- Forcible sodomy;
- Two counts of object sexual penetration.
He is being held without bond and his next court date is pending.
