No Bond For Gunman Whose Bullet Went Through Living Room Floor In Virginia: Police

A 52-year-old man was being held without bond for a shooting in a Prince William County home over the weekend, authorities said.

Syed Zaim Ahmed was arguing with a 46-year-old woman at a home on the 9400 block of Smokey Bear Court in Bristow Friday, June 10, when things escalated, county police said.

At some point, Ahmed pulled out a gun and fired a round into the living room floor, which went into the basement area, police said.

The parties separated and the police were called. No injuries or additional property damage were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, Ahmed was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and brandishing, police said.
