Boy Home Alone Struck By Car, Parents Charged In PWC

Two parents are facing charges of child neglect after their 8-year-old son was struck by a car while home alone without proper care, police in Prince William County said.

The boy was struck by a Toyota Rav4 on the 12600 block of Westridge Drive in Woodbridge around 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, Prince William County police said.

The boy had been left home alone by his parents, Firoze Mohammed Hassan, 47, and Hassan Mohamed, 32, who were later charged with felony child neglect, police said. The Toyota driver was not charged, police said.
