Driver Blaring Music Rams Officer With Vehicle In Arlington, Police Say
A 23-year-old man was arrested for ramming an officer with his car in Arlington over the weekend, police said.
Officers were called to the 800 block of N. Wakefield Street around 5 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, for a vehicle blasting music, where they found Taron Butler in a car matching the description, police said in a release.
As the officer approached the vehicle on foot, the suspect began to drive away, striking an officer with the car, police said. The officer did not report any injuries. Butler then struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle as he fled the scene.

Officers were called to James Yoo's home, a duplex on N. Burlington Street, after Yoo fired multiple rounds from a flare gun out of his window, police said.
Yoo barricaded himself inside, prompting a 3-hour and 40-minute standoff that ended in a home explosion, that authorities are now saying was caused by Yoo.
Investigators determined that Yoo had stockpiled more than 35 gallons of gasoline at his home, federal and local police said on Friday, June 7, 2024.

A 15-year-old died and three other people were wounded in a quadruple shooting late Monday, June 3 in Prince William County, police said.
A group of people had been gathered on the 3700 block of Masthead Trail in Triangle around 10:30 p.m., behind homes in the area, when gunfire rang out, count police said.
The parties dispersed as officers arrived on scene. Police found the first two victims, a 15-year-old boy and a man, and rendered aid. The boy ultimately died of his injuries, police said.

Cleaning Crew Carjacked, K9 Helps Capture Suspects In Fredericksburg, Police Say
A 21-year-old man and a juvenile have been arrested in a Fredericksburg carjacking, police said.
Officers were called to Carl D. Silver Parkway for the carjacking where a cleaning crew had been forced from their car at knifepoint on May 24, police said.
Joseph Wells, 21, of Stafford, and a juvenile both fled the area, authorities said.
