Firefighters Injured Battling Blaze On Loudoun County Porch
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries battling a house fire on Thursday morning in Virginia, officials say. Loudoun County Fire and Rescue crews were called to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of Edwards Ferry Road NE in Leesburg at approximately 11 a.m. on July 11. Upon arrival, firefighters were met with smoke showing and fire on the porch, which was quickly extinguished by first responders. For the second time in three days, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue crews had to beat the heat after being called to battle a raging blaze that broke out in an area home. Before 10 a.m. on Wednesday morning, firefighters were called to a two-alarm fire that was reported in the 2700 block of Hollywood Road in West Falls Church, where they were met by an inferno showing from the top floor of the building.
