A man was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Fredericksburg on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 30, sparking an investigation by local and federal authorities, police said. Officers from the Fredericksburg Police Department responded to a call at approximately 4:25 p.m. reporting a pedestrian near the train tracks in the 200 block of Lafayette Boulevard. Wanted Man Flees On Foot, Driver Busted After Pursuit Into Fredericksburg: Stafford Sheriff
One person was arrested and a second wanted man managed to flee following a police pursuit in Stafford County that ended in Fredericksburg earlier this week. Stafford resident Cash Phelix, 18, took deputies on a wild ride on Sunday night as they sought 19-year-old Tylor Asbury, who was wanted for felony eluding in King George County, officials say. According to a spokesperson from the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on June 16, deputies were attempting to locate Asbury on Little Falls Road, when they spotted a truck leaving a home that ran a stop sign.
