'Barely Alive:' Washington Caps PA, Voice Actor From VA Wes Johnson Suffers Medical Emergency Legendary voice actor and longtime Washington Capitals PA announcer Wes Johnson has been hospitalized after suffering a medical emergency, according to organizers of an online fundraiser for the family. Last week, Johnson flew down to Atlanta to host a benefit event for the National Alzheimer's Foundation, but never made it after checking into his hotel. Fredericksburg Marine, Army Vet Kenny Carr Jr. Dies, 38 Shock and sadness spread following the June 30, 2024 death of Kenneth "Kenny" Carr Jr., of Fredericksburg. He was 38 years old. According to his obituary on the Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service website, Carr served in the Marine Corps for 8.5 years and then in the Army, having earned multiple awards and working as a martial arts instructor within the Marines.
