A newly discovered compound in drinking water has raised questions about its potential health risks. The chemical, known as chloronitramide anion (Cl–N–NO₂⁻), was found in all samples from 10 US drinking water systems that use chloramines, according to a study published in the journal Science on Thursday, Nov. 21. Townhomes Evacuated In Virginia Due To Suspected Suspicious Substances Found In Home: Police
Nearly two dozen homes were evacuated in Fairfax County on Friday afternoon due to a HazMat situation in Herndon, police confirmed. The successful execution of a search warrant in the 200 block of Herndon Station Square led to the arrest of a 44-year-old Steven Timothy Kyle, though it resulted to more questions than answers when officers found chemicals and other substances that "caused some alarm," a police spokesperson said.
