A tense encounter at the Rosslyn Metro Station ended in tragedy when Arlington police officer shot and killed a knife-wielding suspect during a violent altercation Tuesday afternoon. It all started around 3:45 p.m. on Dec. 10, when officers responded to a call about a suspicious man inside a business on the 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. Bomb Squad Evacuates Pentagon City Mall Over Suspicious Vehicle
An Arlington mall was evacuated and a vehicle owner issued a banning notice after a weekend incident. The bomb squad was called to the Fashion Centre at Pentagon City mall around 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, over a parked, unoccupied suspicious vehicle, the sheriff's office said. As a precaution during the preliminary investigation, mall security personnel evacuated the Fashion Centre. A Virginia man has been found dead following a road rage incident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, State Police explained in an updated release on Monday, June 3.
