23-Year-Old Motorcyclist Identified By Police After Fatal Crash That Shut Down Route 28 In VA New details have been released by the Fairfax County Police Department after a 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a three-vehicle crash that shut down Route 28 in Chantilly on Thursday afternoon. Herndon resident David Arias Sandoval has been identified by investigators as the person riding a 2021 Kawasaki motorcycle shortly before 2 p.m. on June 27 when he crashed. Officers are on scene of a fatal crash involving a motorcycle & truck on northbound Rt. 28 & McLearen Rd in Chantilly. Northbound Rt. 28 is closed at Air & Space Museum Pkwy for the investigation.
