Police are actively searching for a Manassas Park man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Woodbridge man earlier this week. The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 9 in the 8300 block of Sunset Drive in Manassas, where police say an altercation between two groups escalated into gunfire. Calvin Tyshaun Odell Batson, 22, was struck during the exchange and later died at an area hospital, according to the Prince William County Police Department. Months after a 32-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash, a BMW driver has been arrested, according to the Fairfax County Police Department. Michael Burghardt has been charged with manslaughter and felony hit-and-run in connection to the fatal incident that that claimed the life of Woodbridge resident Cornell Parish III in May. A hit-and-run driver who killed a 64-year-old District woman in Prince George's County has been apprehend, the Bladensburg Police Department announced.
